Below are a selection of the major works of Australian Artist Shane Gehlert. The paintings are set out into categories and represent over 25 years of work. Failed experiments, false starts, sore back, countless trips to chiropractors and other useless quacks (that's a whole other story!) exhibitions, commissions, weird and wonderful ideas, dreams, nightmares, successes and triumph. Thousands of tubes of paint, hundreds of worn out brushes and long nights when into this mountain of strange ideas.....so please take some time to walk through the garden of the landscapes of my mind.....and don't forget to stop and smell the roses.
